So here I am at the new job, and we're setting up FM templates. My

In FrameMaker, is there any way to create a block of code you can
select by double- or triple-clicking?
That seems far more useful to me than the appearance. If the box
doesn't indicate that I'd just skip it.
I certainly wouldn't wrap the code in a table since that can make

If your deliverable is a PDF and you embed the font in the file, there should
be absolutely no problem on any platform. If your deliverable is something
other than a PDF, it could be a whole different matter.

Another modern monospaced font that has become fairly popular as an alternative
to variations on clunky old Courier is Consolas, which has been distributed
with Windows OS since the days of Windows Vista. It has good differentiation

Might one suggest using Source Code Pro here? It's Adobe, it's free, and is

My setup doesn't have any one-cell or one-page restrictions, and
enables easy copy/paste of the code from the generated PDF.
(I read the other replies, and actually am unclear as to whether a
solution has already been provided. Sorry if this is redundant info.)

You may also want to specify the table

Hello CarolineAs far as I know, there is no way to create such a paragraph
format directly in Frame. The alternative in Frame is to put the text in a
one-cell table. You can define the background colour for a table cell, and
borders as desired, and save it as a reusable table format. You can
