To understand you better, I assume you want to change the term (without the «») «Machine X» to «Machine X³» - think the 3 is 500... Then the method of choice is: Select the new term «Machine X³» and copy it to the clip board Find the old term and Change > By Pasting A generally better method would be to have a user variable ProductName with the current value «Machine X». The you just change the definition to «Machine X<super>500» and update the variable references. Personally, in customer documents I maintain the following user variables (here for personal use in a software description): author Klaus Daube classification <high-3>copyleft</> copyright © 2004 Docu + Design Daube full_product_name <name>FM Find Replace extended</> manual_number DDD-52 product_name FMfindRepl release_update 1.0 revision_level June 2022 vendor Docu + Design Daube ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Klaus Daube Phone: +41-44-381 37 77 Schäracher 11 Mail: kl...@daube.ch CH-8053 Zürich Web: www.daube.ch _______________________________________________ This message is from the Framers mailing list Send messages to framers@lists.frameusers.com Visit the list's homepage at http://www.frameusers.com Archives located at http://www.mail-archive.com/framers%40lists.frameusers.com/ Subscribe and unsubscribe at http://lists.frameusers.com/listinfo.cgi/framers-frameusers.com Send administrative questions to listad...@frameusers.com
