If the files are bmp files, I suspect FrameMaker has stopped supporting
them. At least some variation of color depth.

Have you taken a look at FrameMaker 9 any of you? I just sat looking
around in it yesterday, and it looks promising enough IMHO. I like
the new UI especially I really like better links management. It could
better - it could look like InDesigns, but it is still progress.
