Thanks for the replies. I messed with some different fonts and it does look
like a problem with Myriad Pro. Minion Pro produces smart quotes, as well as
other fonts. Myriad won't do it. Bummer.

I have a Book file and the tables and figures aren't continuing the flow of

I have the Book file and each file within it set to "Continue Numbering From

Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?

I'd look at Apple documents and IBM documents to see some good examples.

What is the best way to use S1000D in Frame 8? Is the Application Pack from

I am looking for a way to write fractions inline with my text, without using
the math functions. I looked at the Frame 8 Character Sets manual, and I see
1/4, 1/2 and 3/4, but nothing else. Is there a way to generate fractions
without just writing them like I am here (i.e. 1/4)?

Hi folks. I need to set up a numbering sequence for appendices that goes
like:
Appendix A. Blah
A.1 blah
A.2 blah
Appendix B. Blah
B.1
B.2
I'm not sure how to set up the auto-numbering for the appendix and appendix
level one tags.

I'm wondering which way to go. These are people to whom Word is about as
