It was the 8-bit (256 color) PNG files that were a problem in FrameMaker.
They would add all 256 colors to the document color palette, which could be

As near as I can tell from their website, Adobe have abandoned the 3-D
functionality altogether in version 10. So a big chunk of extended is gone
from Acrobat X Pro anyway. Maybe they should pay us to make the switch from
Acrobat 9 Pro Extended to Acrobat X Pro! Oh well.
