Have you checked for adware that may be capturing your input?
Any processes taking a large chunk of memory?
Task Manager -> Processes
What does the Performance tab show. My machine is current running between 4%
and 13% as I'm writing this message.

What's the performance monitor in Task Manager show? Is FM using lots
of CPU cycles?

Beginning yesterday, FM started responding very slowly to key presses and
mouse clicks. Scrolling in the application window, document windows, or in
dialog windows seems to function normally.
