Select Format Document Text Options. In the dialog, remove the slash

Hello:
How do I keep fractions and mixed numbers written in standard slash and
dash, e.g. 1/16" or 2-3/8", together when they wind up at the end of a line?
I'm aware of fraction fonts, but am hoping there's some way to add them to
the personal dictionary or otherwise get them on a spelling list
