Multiple Master Fonts stop working in recent Windows XP update

Framers, Just ran across an issue with a client that is using multiple master fonts in his document. They've worked wonderfully for 10+ years. However, the most recent sent of updates for WIndows XP ends up killing the fonts. ATM and FrameMaker cannot use the fonts and FrameMaker reports

I don't have a workaround (other than do not install the updaters in Windows) and sandbox the VM FrameMaker is running in. This is a real pain. Moving to an OpenType font looks to be the only solution at this point, but that would require 100's of hours of micropositioning work for a 450 pag

Microsoft's Patch Tuesday release in December broke MM's. See: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/766764 You have to uninstall Security Update for Windows XP (KB2296199) to get them to work again. This worked on my system with XP SP3 to get them to enumerate
