Whatever problem you are experiencing has nothing to do with Windows 7 or
Acrobat 9, but
probably relates to problems with FrameMaker 8.
For the record, the "hotfix" is for Windows XP and Vista only. Windows 7
already is fixed for
the issues for which the hotfix applied. Furthermore, the issue

I was able to generate PDF with the same combination of Maker 8 and Acrobat 9
for the same files on my XP machine. That's what led me to think about Win 7.
I also never had any PDF generation problems with earlier versions of Acrobat,
but with Acrobat 9 I've se
Ha! I knew it couldn't be that FrameMaker 8 was unable to create PDF with
Acrobat 9. I turns out I need to patch. Until I get the patches, the
workaround is to turn on tagging in the PDF settings.

Hi all, and thanks for the help so far...
Yes, I found that it's the need of a patch that has caused my Acrobat problems.
Yes, I was completely blind, and failed to see the link to the patches... If

Chris,
Grasping at straws here, but I seem to recall in FM8 that there was a patch
issued that had a major flaw and so Adobe issued a replacement for it within
a day or so, but kept the same patch number. Perhaps that is why you are
seeing the 8b236 designation instead of 8p236. Maybe you have
