Check your reference pages. I recently worked through a document where lines
of text graphics had been placed in the reference pages, then deleted, but
the paratags still intact. Every time I checked for unresolved references it
took me to a blank space on a page, and I finally wised up.

You might have to view the master pages in each suspect file to look for
your broken cross references. One of the most annoying "features" up
through FM 7.0 is the inability of "global" searches to find anything on
a master page.
If this has been fixed in FM 9.0 it would be a good enough
