I'm still using FM7, as my requirements are pretty small -- doing a small
newsletter and other personal use, but I do use it every day.
Two days ago the scroll wheel suddenly stopped working in FM, but still works
in a
Try WizMouse. It's also free and does the same as Freewheel plus more. I
stopped using Freewheel when I found WizMouse.

As Shmuel implies, Freewheel is/was the standard fix for the scrollwheel
problem. It's still available onilne in some repositories, or if you have
problems locating it, ping me off-list. Haven't tried WizMouse, so no
opinion there.
