I will say that for 16mm and 35mm E-6, Duane's Photo does good and consistnt
work although the turnaround time from the east coast is pretty long. I
would not hesitate to send them Super-8 Ektachrome for processing.

yikes metropolis is expensive, $30 to develop + $40-70 to scan a roll of super
8 neg! i'm sure it looks great but you'd want a serious budget at those rates
cinelab's student/indie rates look like they might be more affordable
