One complaint about the Gottlieb piece, though. It's just plain wrong on Charles Burnett: he was not a one man African-American New Wave, and his film Killer of Sheep didn't fall off the map after being screened at the Whitney. Yeah,yeah- you must be used to this brand of mainstream
