Hi all! I was wondering if anyone knows of gelatine free film stock or a recipe to make your own emulsion without the use of gelatine? I shoot on 16mm B&W but don't feel confortable with using animal-derived products. If I could find an alternative it would be amazing. Any help would be very ap

Not really all of the other alternative processes out there are much, much slower. You might investigate cyanotype, carbro, talbottype processes, though, which are entirely feasible to do at home but require several minute or hour exposures. You couldn't do fast action motion pictures but you

As far as I know, there is no film stock that is manufactured without the use of animal based products. In theory, you could make your own and substitute agar for gelatin as the suspension agent. I have never tried this, but I recall being told (by Robert Schaller, I think) that agar will not ha
