If your loops are short enough you don't really need anything special. Put a
supply reel and a take up reel on the projector, but of course the film does
not attach to them, it just passes through them.
If you have slot loaders you can make (and keep) the loops, just splice the
film into a
You can avoid a lot of scratching by winding some teflon tape around the cores
of the reels. Make sure that the film flattens the end of the tape.

Kenny! I'm wanting to record a sound file onto film. The film is about
400-500ft - no dialogue, just a soundtrack and maybe some foley. Could be a
little tricky trying to piece together multiple 100ft lengths - I'm sure you've
tried it though! I'll private msg you. Thank you!
Thank you also
Hey Shona

Hi Shumona,
yes of course it's possible!
With an optical printer you refilm frame by frame from the 16mm
reversal onto 35mm neg.

Sure, it's possible. It looks a little rough but if you are very careful
about exposure it can work.

Sure-- it can look great. So can super 8.
For a great example of both 8 and 16 to 35 in Tri-X, check out the movie about
designer Isaac Mizrahi called 'Unzipped.' I believe they were all optical
blowups.
