Hi Diana ,
The foma kit is made for foma film which take more time to develop as it's
a different kind of emulsion , than the kodak film ,
If I was you make up you own soups , so much cheaper , hardest part is get
the bleach to make , see post before ,
And how long did you give the second devel
Hi Steve,
This call out looks very cool and I am interested in submitting a 16mm
installation that I am currently developing but I can't seem to access your
site. I've tried using both Google Chrome and Internet Explorer and am still
not able to view the site. Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Roger

HI Scott,
Everything looked fine after the bleach, rinse and then exposure. When I did
the second development, it appeared to be sliding off. It was a really strange
situation. Any insight is welcome!
Thanks,
Diana

The development time won't cause the emulsion to lift off. It might affect
the density.
Depending on which bleach chemistry you used, it might soften the emulsion
if you left it in the bleach bath too long. I strongly recommend using the
older ferricyanide formulation if possible.

HI Christopher,
Thanks so much. I was with a friend who swore we should go by the time on the
foam chemistry. Thanks so much for the information. I will run another test
using kodak times and let the list know how it turned out.
Best Regards,
Diana

Hello Diana ,
when you dev the film did you use foma time ? if so this was the problem !
For kodak film you need to use kodak time which is much shorter in the soup
,
this is the reason why your emulsion came away ,
all the best ,

An honest question with the answer that has to be lived into, perhaps.
Thanks for the reminder.

some of our members. or you ask in the lab group: fo...@filmlabs.org
