Maybe by a courier service, never through fedex or HDL I have heard
horror stories of missing film. X rays may be a minor risk compared to
misplaced negative.

I believe all the Eiki "2" projectors have magnetic sound. Are your loops
striped with mag sound? If not, I'd think "0" Eikis would be cheaper.
