Patrick Gleeson. Steve Reich was not involved, but his work had inspired the
piece and he was a friend of Gunvor’s at the time.
I think a lot of this common misconception comes from the film’s end credit,

I believe Laure Sainte-Rose did some work in this vein. If I remember right, I
think she approached it in a manner similar to DTS for 35mm or 70mm, with an
optical track containing a timecode signal connected to an external digital
playback source of some kind. Somebody please correct me if I'
John Stehura owns it. I preserved this film at the Academy about five years

Bill didn't, to my knowledge, do 35mm. And unfortunately he's actually no

Correct! They can scan/filmout, but the optical printer is no longer in

Le Giornate del Cinema Muto festival showed restored 35mm prints of the
Ruttmann shorts in 2000, most of which were from the Munich Stadtmuseum and/or
