*An Historical Program presented by TIE curator Christopher May*

This exhibition features a special historical program, highlighting some of
the breathtaking work from a lustrous genealogy of experimental cinema,
which includes both well-known avant-garde films and lesser- known works
culled from the archives. The program is inspired by particular gems from
The Film-makers’ Cooperative (NYC), the early programming efforts of the
late Tom Chomont and a philosophical discourse that explores
re-contextualization of historical works in a contemporary setting. (CM)
Cosponsored by the UWM Film Dept.
