I applied the patch, re-enabled KDTRACE_HOOKS in my kerenl config, and compiled
a new kernel. The result is a success, it boot without problem. I updated

Yes, this is on amd64. I could paste the log of a verbose boot from a
non-broken kerenl, but would that be of any use? To capture a boot log up the
hang would require serial or firewire console,
