In both instances, I've installed kde4 via pkg_add -vr (so binary packages) after installing 9.0-RELEASE. The screen "locks" (as in asks for a password) very frequently. It's easily triggerable by using the function key. But i've seen it do it at odd moments too. I'll then be greeted by a large spam of notifications about power saving. (This is with AC plugged in.)
