for customising my world and kernel, I try to "overlay" GENERIC via included
files containing
"nodevice" and "nooptions" tags starting from a top level config file like
include GENERIC
include NODEVICE-GENERIC
include SPECIAL
Within "NODEVICE-GENERIC" I utilize
