I just tried the new ATA driver on my old ISA only
notebook.
After correct recognition of the hard disk:
ad0: invalid primary partition table: no magic
error 22: panic:.
what does that mean?

I'm running 4.0-19990503-CURRENT.
In my case, freebsd swap is on /dev/wd0s3b (3-th
partition)
I'm trying to upgrade to last 4.0-0509-current.
I got error msg:
Unable to make device node for /dev/wd0s3b in /dev!
The creation of filesystems will be aborted.
On DEBUG screen I got:
DEBUG: MakeDev:
: No such file or
directory
mkdep: compile failed
*** Error code 1
With controller pci0at nexus? it's ok, and
kernel is running fine. But I don't need PCI code into
kernel on my ISA only machine.

After upgrade to 4.0-CURRENT ,
/usr permissions are 777, owner.group is bin.bin.
In my case I don't have separated fs for /usr, /var,
etc.,, so /usr is in root fs.

I installed 4.0-19990304-SNAP/src/sys and cvsup-ed to current . I
found that the last changes of current are not included into
snap/src/src (till 03/04/99). Is that o.k.?

I installed 4.0-19990207-SNAP.
It seems ld.so is missing and it's not possible to run dynamicaly
linked aout executables.
