apps needing libncurses e.g. vi, sysinstall... The characters on output
are severely scrambled.

On my box there is an Asus P4P800 motherboard with an integrated
Soundmax soundcard. I can play audio files through it thanks to the
snd_ich and snd_pcm drivers. But when I play audio CDs, with cdcontrol

I followed the meaningful instructions from

All worked well until the installer tried to launch netca. The netca GUI
never appeared.
Then OUI tried to launch dbca. A blank windows appeared, and a few
second later the system rebooted.

* I've remade world from the latest cvs tree, and /stand/sysinstall was not updated.
