Tried to build ssh2 (after installing ssh1) from the ports, and I got the
following error:
SHELL@:No such file or directory
I added USE_GMAKE= yes to the security/ssh2/Makefile, and tried it again
and it completed successfully. Has anyone else came across this?

As I recall, there was a time when make_dev() was being outmoded?

I doubt that, since I used the BASIC_2.FW (the less restrictive one) modified
to my xl0 connects. Unless the rules in BASIC_2.FW is completely off? Anyhow, I

pass in on xl0 all
as my ipfilter rules file, and well, same error.

One final note. I updated to the latest snap of -CURRENT from an Oct. 10 snap,
since that was the last date when IP Filter was still in the source tree before
it was removed due to old age. And it worked perfectly then.
Thank you for any help

are /dev/bpf? devices, as well as /dev/ipl etc. What have I missed? Any
help/suggestions/tips would be appreciated. Thanks.

I've been running IPFIlter on FreeBSD4.0-Current on my Pentium 233MMX box for a
while now. And up until the middle of last week I haven't had any problems
with it. I cvsup to the latest src tree everynight and make buildworld (done

Hello, I'm curious as to the current status of IP Filter in the -current branch of
FreeBSD. Since its removal from the kernel in October, there have been a few emails
about getting/wanting it back. May I ask who is currently working on that and what
sort of progress they are making? Thank yo
