Trial upgrade from a laptop running stable just fine for the last six months to current (GENERIC) is still failing with the same symptoms: On board rl0 comes up just fine, but a transfer hangs after about 150KB or so. After a minute or two, the laptop reboots. That's at 100BaseTX, plus the vari

Thanks Robert, I'm looking into this now. Unfortunately, now the symptom is a hard wedge on "large" transfers over rl0, no response to anything obvious, other than hard reset. So I'm seeing what I can do to tickle it into something more informative. That previous dmesg quoted below I think was

Ok, I've been playing with this some more. A constant ping with little other traffic works fine, as does interactively logging in to the system over ssh. Any "large" transfer by scp, or rsync, first wedges the rl0 interface. I can down it and then up it and repeat. After three times or so, the
