There was a bug in sys/netinet/in.c that was fixed in the RELENG_6
branch, in revision 1.85.2.10 (see

But, this fix hasn't yet made it into RELENG_6_3. I had a machine

After some more tests I've finally realized that the problem is with
vlan and alias. I've taken carp out of the picture.
