You may take a look at sysutils/bsdadminscripts which use pkg_upgrade
to manage packages.

If the idea of the portupgrade command is to update ports depending on
gstreamer-plugins-bad as well as port itself, then the command should be:
portupgrade -r gstreamer-plugins-bad
I.e. small 'r' instead of capital 'R'.

That is correct, and a long-standing (if minor) gripe for sune.
Perhaps they were written be different people?
