Ok, well, I can't believe I overlooked this: there is a line in the Makefile of the ports which specifically deletes a few lines from the gscan2pdf perl script (probably from an older version). After fixing the port so that gscan2pdf 0.9.31 now starts, I'm back to this problem: scanning with gscan2pdf works, but as soom as I try to save, and hit the "save" button, the gui hangs, and there is no more output in the terminal / shell from where I started gscan2pdf. I have tried porting ISPCONFIG before, it PARTIALLY worked on my FreeBSD 7.2 server, not all functions were ok. For example, the system monitoring function rely on linux proc file system which was obviously not functioning. I don't see any possibility for us to port it on FreeBSD unless they the
