Hi guys
It seems graphics/shotwell can build now on conditions that libraw be
build without lcms2 support (and/or with shared libs?). Anyway, I've
built shotwell and installed shotwell on my system (FreeBSD 8.2-STABLE
amd64).
However, this is not very perfect...

I can't reproduce this problem. My machine is also an 8.0-RC1 on amd64,
which I newly installed a couple of days ago. Are your ports all
up-to-date? It seems there is a patch file under
/usr/ports/sys/hal/files that concerns this problem.
Good luck.

Hi all
With the version bump of x11/xcb-util, some ports seems to be broken.
However, after recompiling x11/startup-notification, and all the
ports that depend on x11/startup-notification, everything will be OK.
And x11/startup-notification needs to be set to depend on
x11/xcb-uti

install process would help
much, especially for a freshly installed system because it might be a
huge download job and much waiting time if one is going to install
GNOME/KDE etc. from scratch. Perhaps the new `pkg_upgrade' could provide
versatile options to complete such tasks.

Manually run 'pkgdb -Fu'. It might help.

this was fixed in the latest update of the ports tree. it was due to a
typo in the Mk/bsd.database.mk.

Hi all
I noticed that some ports, e.g. qt-4 stuff, just use the same source
ball but extract it each time for their own build. Is there some
method to reuse the extracted sources? I think it is perhaps a waste
of cpu and time to extract the same source ball for different build
task
