took a look at
pkgsrc and the enhancements the OpenBSD people have done the pkg*
commands and whether you think borrowing from them would be useful.

I use postgrey and it works very well. It's
in /usr/ports/mail/postgrey/.
I even stopped using SpamAssassin as postgrey seems to catch most of
the spam.
