After a bit more work and lots of good suggestions, I came up with
xterm -e bash --rcfile .myrcfile -i -c "./ticktock && exec bash" &
It does everything I was expecting (assuming your regular .bashrc
doesn't trash the things you set up in the first environment!)

I've installed Apache-PHP sucessfully, but PHP lacks suport for MySQL
and Postgresql.
Are there any ports for that, or must i edit PHP's Makefile to include
suport for both databases ?
I've searched all around the ports colection, but didn't find anything :
Do you have "options NETATALK" in your kernel? It's not in the GENERIC
kernel, and you'll need to compile a new kernel (or at least I did, the
last time I installed netatalk).

not starting up...
