First you have to let the SQL server know what databases and users you want to use:
1) Set password for root user after init
stall it and the startup scripts will be installed for you.
The next time you reboot you will see a startup message saying that is has been

I am running a network with a R4.6-RELEASE gateway

RELEASE workstation (syvert.la3sg.net) with
postfix, fetchmail and mutt.
I can exchange mail between the boxes on my LAN,

will be meaningful to you based on your question.
Seems like you have gotten mixed up on some basics.

power using the recompiled kernel.
I am using the same PC in both cases. I did a r5.0 install on a virgin HD.
Any hints on what is different in R5.0 is appreciated.

firewall_script="/etc/rc.firewall" #original and unmodified
firewall_enable="NO" #leave firewall with 'pass/block all' line only
Also running ipfilter with a ruleset that leaves the firewall wide open.

Hi!
I have followed the instructions on the mysql.com site to set up mysql
to log all changes to my data base. This works fine. But when I reboot
the PC I have to manually restart the logging. How can I automate this?

This way I can add as many "subdomains" as I wish. I also have a nice

Probably won't help.
In my case I suspect that my CD burner or the media I am using must

List members!
Is it possible to use cvsup on selected ports to go from 4.7 STABLE to
4.6.2 RELEASE?
The reason I want to do this is that graphics/GD2 does not build on 4.7,
while using my saved distfiles I may build GD2 under 4.6.2
A better way to do this?

Have a look at http:
el can not be read when the CDs are
used as data disks. As a check I downloaded another copy of 4.6.2,
and the resulting CD was perfect.
