The .htpasswd and .htaccess files are both located in the
postfixadmin/admin directory. I even used htpasswd to create a new file
thinking that the original one might be corrupt, but that failed also.
The path in the .htaccess file seems correct.
I have Apache22 installed.

I use portmanager all the time and virtually never have a problem. I would
suggest that you try the following to see if you can pin down what the
problem is.
Run 'portsclean -C -D -L' to clean out any left over work directories and
obsolete libraries.
Then create a script of
oot or navigate to /usr/local/etc/rc.d and as root type:
./mysql-server start
It is possible yours is named different, so substiture the correct file name.
That should create the directory with the proper permissions, etc. Now you
can procede to configure MySQL for your users, etc.

this to clean up any crud left from you old builds.
portsclean -CDDLP
Now run: portsnap fetch && portsnap update
Now you can run the portupgrade command. You can probably run it like

this little command:
/usr/sbin/pkg_version -vIL=
It will display what needs to be updated very quickly. I think that
'portma
rsonally, I prefer 'portmanager' for handling the task. You will have
to install it as it is not part of the base system. After installing it,
just run:
portmanager -f -l -y
That will rebuild your program base and insure that the dependencies are
correct.

I haven't done any such thing. This just happened after updating FBSD.
Perhaps there are different default settings in the newer version.

ated FBSD? I am using dovecot as the LDA so I would not have
thought that a size limit set in postfix would have an bearing on dovcot's
ability to deliver mail. In any case, I have had mail folders over 75M in
size and neither dovecot nor postfix complained.
