FreeBSD 4.5 doesn't seem to auto-switch to/from DST at the right
time.

Since RPM does not come with the standard installation I downloaded it from
your site. Unpacked it and tried to install it.
I ran the "make" file in the RPM directory.
Why does it have to update the entire system if you say that Makefile is not
needed?
Did I screw up something?

I would expect to be working!!!
I cannot imagine that I would by Microsoft product to find out that the
manuals do not match the enclosed software.
On the package it said "SOLID OPERATING SYSTEM BY FREEBSD!!!"

would anyone know where the MAKEDEV file in FreeBSD version 5.1 resides if
it does?
I cannot find the file anywhere!
