I need help configuring my sound. I was using the freeBSD hand book
accomplish this task. I have on board sound, and added the option:
options PNPBIOS
into the kernel, as the handbook said, and restarted my system. The kernel
loaded but I had no sound. When I start X, KDE gives me the following
I have problems with sound configuration. I've tried this:
#kldload sound
#kldload snd_ich
Output worked, but I didn't hear anything recorded from input.
I'd like to use Skype (with /dev/dsp), but its impossible without working
sound input.
What shall I do?

Hi,
I am having problems configuring sound for a PnP ISA Sound Blaster 16 under FreeBSD5.1
with KDE3.1. I have followed the multimedia instructions in the handbook and rebuild
the kernel with:
device pcm
device sbc
Then, using "grep pcm /var/run/dmesg.boot" it finds "pcm"
