It's no problem when you run the browser without title line, menu bar,
icon bar, other bars, and status line. You don't need to make all

hi, is this like a normal freebsd install + gnome, or OS with custom
system setup, automatic updates and such?
At this time KDE has not announced an EOL on 3.5. That said, you will
likely see it in the tree through the end of 2009.

Why not a choice, 800x600 for laptops with smaller screen (or
in 16:9 format for "modern" laptops)

Is the path right? Relative to your chroot? Main system? What
environmental variables did you declare and what does make.conf(5) look
like?

Im ripping the iso image from the cd with dd
dd if=/dev/acd0 of=file.iso bs=2048
Then, Im mounting the iso image
mdconfig -a -t vnode -f /usr/iso-orig/file.iso -u 0
mount -t cd9660 /dev/md0 /iso
..and copying its contents to disk with cp -R
tar cf - .|(cd /newdir;tar xpf -) would be better

disc2 is the 'rescue disk' -- basically it contains a bootable live

The regular i386 iso. If you want to recompile FreeBSD with
non-generic CPU optimizations, see the handbook section on 'make

I must have missed this. Or simply dump. period.
