Buying a printer (in Japan)

Hi, I need to buy a printer to plug into a FreeBSD 4.8 box which is in Japan, but unfortunately I don't get to go there to install it :( I am wondering if anyone has experience with currently available colour printers that are obtainable in Japan. Have a look through the linuxprinting.org page

Who is guilty in leakage of memory: XFree, Gimp or FreeBSD? Check up please at itself: In gimp-1.3, the image 3000x3000(indexed) should be transformed in grayscale and not waiting end of transformation, to apply autolevels. Thus there will be an leakage of memory at a X server. I checked on:
