This a question for freebsd-questions as it has nothing to do with
-stable per se.
However, this is because apache needs to know to log to the new file
-- you can send it a "apachectl graceful" or see the advice at:

or search on your favo
Il get problem whit
the access log every time the log turns over. I’m using the newsyslog.conf and the line fore the log is
/var/log/httpd/httpd-access.log 644 7 * @T10 Z
after turn over I
need to restart the apache to get it to log in the new file
