Hi ! In short, this is the issue. Plugging in a Samsung Portable Player, the system _always_ reports ( I marked some lines with '[*]'): "umass0: <SAMSUNG Electronics.Co.Ltd YP-R1, class 0/0, rev 2.00/2.00, addr 2> on uhub3 [*](probe0:umass-sim0:0:0:0): TEST UNIT READY. CDB: 0 0 0 0 0 0 [*](probe0:umass-sim0:0:0:0): CAM Status: SCSI Status Error [*](probe0:umass-sim0:0:0:0): SCSI Status: Check Condition [*](probe0:umass-sim0:0:0:0): UNIT ATTENTION asc:29,0 [*](probe0:umass-sim0:0:0:0): Power on, reset, or bus device reset occurred [*](probe0:umass-sim0:0:0:0): Retrying Command (per Sense Data)
da0 at umass-sim0 bus 0 target 0 lun 0 da0: <Samsung YP-R1 0322> Removable Direct Access SCSI-2 device da0: 40.000MB/s transfers" Do the lines marked with [*] represent an usual/accepted/normal/safe behaviour ? Any action must be taken ? The same thing _sometimes_ happens for an external usb cd. Both the devices seem to work fine. Here's uname output : 7.2-RELEASE FreeBSD 7.2-RELEASE #0: Fri May 1 08:49:13 UTC 2009 r...@walker.cse.buffalo.edu:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/GENERIC i386 Thanks for advices, dan _______________________________________________ freebsd-usb@freebsd.org mailing list http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-usb To unsubscribe, send any mail to "freebsd-usb-unsubscr...@freebsd.org"
