I hooked my Freedombox up to a screen and keyboard and used fdisk to resize
the root partition. I now have a 25GB root.
For anyone working on this in the future, I followed the 1st part of this
video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R4VovMDnsIE. I did not add the swap
partition

Again - absolute beginner here, but this seems to be the issue. Not sure
where to go from here.
