I've had my share of "dang! too slow again!" with VMWare... ;)
For #2: I'm not sure about the UI in VM Workstation 8, as I'm just using
the Player at present, but
I'm running VMWare Workstation 8,
and everything's okay now except for two things:
1) how do i make the "Press , , or " screen
appear for more than ~0.125 second on startup, and,
2) how do i make the top menu bar disappear
in full-screen mode without reverting to small-screen
mode?
I don't know what standard "CP852.F16" should be but I checked glyphs in
LATIN216.CH, LATIN214.CH and LATIN28.CH and they seems to be OK. They look like
chars under czech version of Windows 98,XP,7 which for DOS application uses
LATIN2 encoding.
