Hi Jerome, hi Berki,
sorry for nerving once again.
I wasted this day to update setup.de and setup.en, means: "Apostrophes" are in each text line now. I could not remove all those /c32 /s- as wanted as sometimes they are really necessary.
But I think apostrophes in each vecho line will be helpful to avoid some more surprises like ' and maybe \ and whatever. They also show the translator about which things they have to worry about.
With a little luck I will also do this in the other languages.
Jerome, I know that you have a lot to do, but could you check the setup.en as this will be the basis and should be loaded up to github. If .en is ok you can also upload .de.
Blinking also works now, but when you restart setup everything blinks. So a "cls" anywhere in setup.bat would be helpful.
@Berki: I found a simple trick to test if the single commands in the .xx work correct.
Start freedos with a correct keyboard layout and look at the setup.xx file from Linux (it is simpler to type)
Example:
in setup.en:
FORMAT_ADV="How do you want to format your drive" /s- /c32 ( /fWhite "F" /fGray "ull," /c32 /fWhite "Q" /fGray "uick," /c32 /fWhite "N" /fGray "ot)" /c32
you can replace "How do you..." by "Berki"
means, you have to type less text in virtualbox dos.
vecho "Berki" /s- /c32 ( /fWhite "F" /fGray "ull," /c32 /fWhite "Q" /fGray "uick," /c32 /fWhite "N" /fGray "ot)" /c32
and you will see if the result is correct. It is not necessary to check each command, only where you are not sure.
there is a space between full and quick and not but I think this looks quite good.
Thanks
Willi
