I would say yes, of course. The normal way to install
FreeDOS is to boot from the install CD-R / CD-RW :-)

possible to get support of my cd rom drive?
one of the things I found disappointing about freedos was the lack of floppy
support and cd drive support.
I am wondering if I can somehow install a couple of drivers
