It hangs at the language selection screen. The very bottom selection of the
main menu looks for a non-existent FDBOOTC
Hi Ruĝulo,
I just tried it! Thanks for the info! :)
However... It works with keyboard layout and codepage - both hardcoded.
There are (at least) 5 arabic layouts, of which I prepared two
(arabic/french and arabic/US) for FreeDOS, according (as much as
possible) to industry's specifications. QE

Dunno, but I doubt it. Ask the author (Atilla) on his SourceForge forum:

Hi guys,
I recently discovered another (new!) DOS text editor called "QE",
which has (among other features) optional Arabic support. It's written
specifically for DOS in ("old") Euphoria 3.1, and it's available at
the URL below (with screenshots). Please take a look (as I don't know
Arabic!), bu

Unfortunate. Ah well, was worth a shot.

That won't help. Jack, author of UIDE, reminded me that UIDE is written
for hardware with perfect (thus no bugs) PCI capabilities. Some real
systems might have expose hardware/firmware bugs with respect to UIDE
querying it. Em
