Hello Tomas, The "dir" command only shows 8+3, and when I manually rename using "move", the name gets truncated (rather than getting the tilde plus number). Perhaps try doing the renaming using the Bash shell that should come with DJGPP? DJGPP Bash should support long file names. I think Fre
