Although I've just successfully updated a clean install FD13 LiveCD
image (with all packages, no sources) using fdnpkg, only one of the many
packages failed. Oddly with the same error first mentioned on this
thread!

Just installed freedos using the typical recommended FD13-livecd media
image within qemu, and no problems with fdnpkg echoing "removing..." and
then "installing ..." updates.
Since I had no prior knowledge of fdnpkg stdout, I did not even notice
the missing "removing ..." stdout.
