be useful again using it as a sampler with IT 2.15. It boots in a few seconds

Hi there,
I installed FreeDOS on a Atom laptop. I want to run the Impulse Tracker
music production software. (

The first issue is related to memory, the second is no soundcard detected
(maybe also because the low on memory thing).
On
library/module for this purpose?
Thanks to all in advance

I know that this may look as an overly pessimistic scenario, but I
believe it's one we had better anticipate, rather than just assuming
that things will always be as they are now. I hope I am very wrong in
my reasoning, and I would be very glad if someone pointed it out.

It sounds like you're referring more to an IDE than a GUI.
Actually, no. What I meant was a GUI proper. The reason why I

anyone know if it is ever likely to see the light of the day? What are

Hi all,
Can someone please tell me what are the best GUIs available for FreeDOS?
Naturally, this is a double question, since GUIs fall into two categories:
1) Text-mode GUIs
2) Graphical GUIs
So, which GUI(s) would you recommend for each category?
Alex

OpenGEM is the only one in the spotlight?
Please share your experiences with regard to DOS-based GUIs as
development tools.
Thanks again,

DOS is a great OS to introduce programming.
A simple programming language as Qbasic or

programs are technically still under copyright, and in the worst case
scenario we may have to store our repository somewhere else. In that
case, what alternatives do you suggest?
Please share your thoughts on this proposal.
