Since updating to the above processor I have been unable to install Freedos except by using Virtual Box or dosbox on my linux OS. These methods rather limit the speed and size of the applications I wish to use.
The installation hangs with "drive not ready " messages. I tried, therefore, to install a previous (Athlon XP) version which I had compressed before installing the new processor, only to receive "invalid opcode" messages. Does all this mean that Freedos will not run on an X86_64 processor, or is there some method by which this can be achieved? ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ _______________________________________________ Freedos-user mailing list Freedos-user@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/freedos-user
