[Freedos-user] 3com 35c589c PCMCIA ethernet driver reports Incompatible with Win95?

     Hello! I've been trying to get net access on an old Toshiba laptop and recently orderd a 3com 35C589C network card for it. I found a DOS driver set from 3com's website, but when I try to install it under Freedos and choose the driver's automatic setup, I get the error "ComsLink is not a choice when running Windows95". I have been unable to get the card to work because of this.

     Anyone have any idea why the driver would think it's running in windows 95, and is there a workaround or an alternate driver available for the card?
